About Chey En For The World

A Memorial begins with a belief.

Every person deserves to be remembered.

Chey En For The World is a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating a permanent memorial honoring victims of war, atrocity, and genocide whose remains were never properly buried.

Why I began this project

I believe that remembering is an essential part of how we honor human life.

For many people who lost loved ones to war, atrocity, and genocide, there is no grave to visit, no physical place to leave flowers, and no permanent place where their lives can be remembered.

I wanted to create that place.

Chey En For The World was founded with the belief that remembrance should not disappear simply because a person was denied a proper burial. This memorial will create a place where lives can be honored, stories can be remembered, and future generations can understand what was lost.

What we do

Chey En For The World is building a permanent place of remembrance in Los Angeles for people whose lives were lost to war, atrocity, and genocide and whose final resting places were never properly established.

We work to preserve their memory, honor their lives, and create a place where families, survivors, and future generations can come to remember.

REMEMBER

Preserving the lives and stories of those who were lost.

HONOR

Recognizing the dignity of every person, regardless of how or where they died.

PRESERVE

Creating a permanent place where remembrance can continue across generations.

Why Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a city shaped by people from around the world.

For generations, people fleeing war, persecution, and violence have built new lives here while carrying the memory of those they left behind.

The memorial will create a permanent place in Los Angeles where those lives can continue to be remembered.

Chey En For The World is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a permanent place of remembrance.

Tax-deductible contributions support the development of the memorial project.
